AMSOV's Biennial Conference will in Kansas City, Missouri, took place on April 4-7, 2024. Our delegates praised the Conference for being an appropriate mix of informative content and lighter entertainment.
More details appear on our Conferences page, but here are a few photos. The next biennial AMSOV Conference will be in Toronto, Canada from May 13-17, 2026.

There is no charge for a telephone or Zoom consultation as long as you are an AMSOV member or belong to an organization that is.

Our 2024 Biennial Conference may be over, but that doesn't mean that AMSOV is sleeping on its laurels. No way. AMSOV is still active in promoting volunteerism in support of symphony orchestras in America. One way we do that is to recognize outstanding individual volunteers with a Standing Ovation Award. These awards, detailed on the Awards tab above, honor individuals who have gone above and beyond in their symphony volunteer efforts. AMSOV can give one of these awards each six months. Our next deadline is July 15, 2024. So nominate your own all star today!

In the 20+ years that I have been a member of AMSOV, I have greatly appreciated how the organization supports and champions North America’s major symphony orchestra volunteer groups. Its conferences, website and email newsletters inform groups about orchestral activity and developments. The conferences provide educational sessions from renowned speakers on innovation, advocacy, projects and fundraising, and leadership advancement. Friendships with the volunteer groups have been formed and sustained through the many years. I am excited to go to Kansas City in 2024 to greet longtime friends and make new friendships from the member orchestras.
